  2. Ok the Thais are in serious doo doo. They send a plan to the ICAO to remedy their failures and the ICAO said not good enough Prajin raises alarm as aviation watchdog rejects DCA remedy http://bangkokpost.com/news/general/511483/prajin-raises-alarm-as-aviation-watchdog-rejects-dca-remedy
  3. Yeah right *sigh* miss expert and what exactly are the tell tale signs?
  4. It just goes to show that your comprehension of English is mediocre at best. The EU would never even use something close to that as a slogan. It is gibberish.
  5. They start to drive in a totally different direction from where you want to go. I had that once. Since I had all the time in the world, so I decided to stay in the car. After about 30 minutes he had enough of it and brought me to the nearest subway stop .............. for free ............! When I got out he started shouting and cursing after me. A police officer overheard him and he asked me what had happened. He then asked me if I wanted to press charges. I said off course! Resulting in the taxi driver having to pay a 1000 bt fine on top (the driver actually admitted what he had done thinking the police would chose his side ). After that he was on the edge of exploding so I rushed into the subway LOL Personally apart from Sukhumvit and Silom and touristy places like Khao San I never really have much problems with taxis. But when they treat me bad I will tell them in street slang how I feel about them and I do everything I can to make their life bad.

    And you do not LOL
  9. Dr Prof Ing Waerth has come to the conclusion that the reason why Thailand's average IQ is below most of the world and lowest in Asean has one reason. Som Tam. Herr Waerth has employed 2 Cambodian twin brothers. The look fairly alike, were born just after eachother. Characterwise they are different. One is a serious, intelligent young man. Dedicated to work as good as he can. The other is only working hard when prodded and seems to have lost his intelligence along the way. According to the other brother he was alot more serious and intelligent before he came to Thailand. Now guess what. The intelligent brother cannot stand Som Tam. Thinks it is horrible, especially the Pa La. The other brother whom was intelligent and hardworking before became Som Tam addicted here in Thailand. I really think I am on to something here! W
  10. Related: Thai tour agents concerned about report of Japan’s ban of Thai chartered flights http://englishnews.t...artered-flights Transport Ministry to take over aviation supervision from Civil Aviation Department http://englishnews.t...tion-department "It was reported that Japan’s action against chartered flights from Thailand followed an assessment report from the International Civil Aviation Organisation which rated Thailand’s supervision of safety standards of air travels as below below standard." "According to ICAO, Thailand scored 35.6 percent which is lower than Cambodia’s 40.18 percent and the lowest in Asean region." Som Tam too much Som Tam is Thailands problem, it destroys the grey cells!
  11. I pointed this out already in January or so and no one reacted. ICAO is about to downgrade the Thai Civil Aviation authority and Japan seems to be the first one to react. If Japan gets sterner they may forbid all flights by all Thai cariers. And where one country starts others might follow. http://englishnews.thaipbs.or.th/transport-minister-is-disappointed-with-japan-over-flight-restrictions Regular Thai flights to Japan continue as normal but additional flights and change of aircraft with increased capacity to accommodate more passengers are put on hold, said Transport Minister Prajin Juntong on Friday. The minister, however, stopped short of defining whether additional flights mean chartered flights. He disclosed that Japan had informed the Thai Civil Aviation Department of the suspension of the additional flights and change of the aircraft with increased capacity to accommodate more passengers. The airlines to be affected by this restruction to become effective as of April 1 include Air Asia X, Nok Scoot, Thai Airways International and Asia Atlantic, said the minister, adding that Japan also asked for an update on the improvement of air safety standards from the Civil Aviation Department. Minister Prajin admitted that he was disappointed with Japan’s hasty action, pointing out that it should have given the Thai side at least 90 days to fix the safety problem as internationally required. The minister added that he was also disappointed with the assessment of the Civil Aviation Department’s performance in the supervision of safety standards by the International Civil Aviation Organistion (ICAO). Instead, he said ICAO should assess the performance of the airlines. Meanwhile, Mr AnekSrichivachart, president of Thai-Japan Tourism Association, confirmed that Thai chartered flight would be banned from landing in Japan as of April 1. The ban will certainly affect many tour operators but this measure will benefit quality tour operators in the long run, he said.

    Not So Fast

No this has nothing to do with April fools this has been ongoing for sometime. SahaMongkol put Tony Jaa in a very bad contract (for Tony). They basically own him and pay him a pittance. They feel that Tony has to be gratefull to them for them helping him at the start of his career.
  14. it is a satire but still: http://www.aroundthemoat.com/2015/03/27/supermarket-chain-big-c-announces-foreigner-evening-curfew/ Expat foreigners living in Thailand are to be excluded from Big C stores after 5pm, the company has announced in a statement. Due to complaints from Thai natives, Big C has decided to implement a total ban on foreigners from entering their stores between the hours of 5pm in the evening and closing time. The measures are being taken to appease Thai nationals frustrated by having to wait in line behind foreigners who have not grasped the basics of the Thai language or the ability to recognise the difference between Thai coins. Thais are notorious for their lack of patience, and a dithering old westerner counting coins at the checkout till is a key frustration of the indigenous population. The ban will apply to all persons living in Thailand that are not owners of a Thai ID-card. Thais of a particularly pale complexion but have been advised to bring identification with them to the supermarket from now on. Big C expects the ban to have minimal impact on their expat customers. A Big C spokesperson said, “We don’t expect many expats to actually be affected by the ban as they all have maids or Thai wives that can do the shopping for them anyway. Furthermore they are often rich and do not work during the day, so they can pop along then if they need to. But for hard working Thais who only have a few minutes to quickly buy some stuff on the way home after a day’s work and picking up the children, it will make a big difference†“This ban should allow Thai nationals a more pleasant shopping experience, where they can push and shove in the queue as much as they like without drawing the wrath of an older white gentleman who will shout at them in a language they don’t understand.†Big C loyalty card holder Pongpat Siriwatana commented, “In the last week I’ve told six different foreigners to go back and weigh their vegetables, but somehow I still end up waiting at the till as the shop attendant runs off to weigh the produce for them. How do they not learn?†Expat grocery consumer Stephen Peterson was less impressed by the news. He said, “I’m a bit offended by the suggestion that I’m a dithering fool that slows everybody down in the supermarket. I was in Big C just yesterday, and it only took me about, forty or fifty minutes was it? No maybe it was just over an hour. It definitely wasn’t and hour and a half. Although if you include parking time it may well have been two hours. Actually, come to think of it, it was a Tops. Sorry, what did you say about the vegetables? Doesn’t the shop attendant weigh them for you?â€

This one is much more epic, This scene was shot in one go from second 45 onwards. No rest! So he really did all of that jumping and kicking. I was there that day. The restaurant scenes were later inserts. All the fighting from second 45 onwards is one shot! They rehearsed all day for it. But Tony and the director wanted to do one take and one shot. And they did it. Which is extremely difficult. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAOFO2MKaPU W

    Not So Fast

No he didnt forget. He just felt SahaMongkol was treating him bad. They were basically demanding over half of his pay and wanted all kinds of side deals with ff7 production. This is old news to me. I have heard about this already 6 months ago. Many of us have worked with Tony and we all get the stories through the grapevine. I played in Tom Yum Kung with him.

    Oh No !

The amount of water that fell in that one hour would have overpowered the Dutch system as well. Although we might have been better and quicker in minimalizing the amount of flooding.
  18. Yes [removed - KS] you actually TEACH them to break the rules (which are there for a reason) and reward them for getting away with it. And then you are joking that the system is not working. While you DO NOT realize that it is because of people like YOU that the system is not working [removed - KS]
  19. That is why, [removed - KS], you should NOT give it to the driver. It clearly says so on the paper. do not give this paper to the driver!!! [removed - KS]. I came through Suvi 6 times in the past 6 weeks for work, and never ever any problem. They want to see the paper if I have the right taxi. Good, I point out the number stating their license plate and put the paper in my pocket. If people still refuse to put on the meter, the tourist police is at the same level. Turn 180 degrees and walk straight there with your ticket. Do not negotiate or give in. That is why the system doesnt work because people still negotiate. Follow the system or leave the country.
  20. You have onviously never ever ever entered a Thai police station have you?
