  1. The government and the media are vastly under reporting the extent of these groups. https://www.pbs.org/newshour/nation/fbi-white-supremacists-in-law-enforcement The military has been fully infiltrated as well. https://www.nbcnews.com/think/opinion/inside-u-s-military-s-battle-white-supremacy-far-right-ncna1010221
  2. He skirts things a wee bit. He identifies the dangers but will not speak on the real ramifications.
  3. Interesting. Specifically what paper was that? I'd love to read it.
  4. The king is dead, long live the king. I actually agree with Trump on some things like troop reduction overseas. This is just a sign his reign is over and they don't feel they need to fear him any longer. https://uk.yahoo.com/news/senate-republicans-deliver-trump-major-193116870.html
  5. Let's be frank. 2016 to 2020 is just visible evidence of an already existing decline that has now been sped up. America as a collective does not have the unity, nor collective will to right the ship. From here on out, it's visible decline. My guess is America's standing in the world as an arbiter of disagreements will be less and less. It's too late. The question is how it will end and what the post collapse America will look like. If we are lucky, we'll end up like the UK post WW2. No longer the world's premier power. The pound sterling no longer the 'coin of the global realm' but still important and still able to project a modicum of power and stature. If we are lucky. If we are not, we'll be France (no offense to the French). The goal would be Germany. Emerge from the ashes like a Phoenix of post WW2 Europe better, stronger, morally upright. My guess? America will be on the defensive fending off political, geographical, financial (and to some extent military) jabs from China primarily and Russia secondarily. America will have a bigger military than China but not the stomach for anything and China, I believe, will periodically threaten a conflict it knows America has no will or stomach for. Even a limited, non nuclear conflict. Economic reprisals will have no weight. Internally, there will be a rise of far right domestic terrorism to the point, the government can't ignore its breadth and savagery and will have no choice to but to label them. Something to the effect of the IRA to the UK decades ago. And a certain segment of the populace, a very scary percentage will be cheering for them because they have no more faith in the constitution and want to form their own 'perfect union'.

  7. Joe Biden is a f*cking fool. He really is. He actually thinks he has good enough of a relationship with the Republicans in the Congress, specifically the Senate to 'heal' the country and 'get things done in a bipartisan manner'. .The ONLY result of any negotiation is going to be what Republicans want and how much of that issue they get. It will not be anything progressive. They will not vote for it. Anything progressive will have to come from executive order. Furthermore, you can't negotiate with people who literally have no rules. None. There are republican Senators that are willing to go along with reversing the election when its confirmed. The scary thing is the media, is nonchalant about US congressmen literally advocating a coup. There is a former US General talking about a coup via martial law. Why isn't anyone taking the talk seriously. Not that it has any chance but the very fact a former General is talking coup and members of the Congress are okay with reversing an election illegally should scare the f*ck out of not just Americans but globally is mind boggling to me. I've said this before. The Democratic party are corrupt. They are not unusually corrupt. I am sure any non American will say the same to varying degrees about the opposition party they support. But all of them have a line. There are some things they won't do. Just like the Democratic party. The Republican party in its present incarnation has no line. None. Zero. I do not even think murder is out of the question. Yes, I'm going there. I have yet to see a line so will assume it is. If someone can tell me what the Republicans will not do politically. What line they will never cross I'd love to hear it. You can't negotiate with that. You can only do one thing. Crush it. Crush it legally, but crush it. You force them to bend to the law. You give them no quarter, no room. They do not negotiate in good faith, they will reverse their own views in matters of great concern that affect Americans for generations such as voting in Supreme Court justices. If ever there was a living, breathing embodiment of Machiavelli or Sun Tzu or even Stalin, its the GOP today.
  8. Hmmm....a little more clarity To most the first amendment DOES separate church and state. If we look at the origin of it and the country it was precisely to separate them. Most of the colonies in the early days were founded by religious sects. Most of them ironically enough were a pariah in England and Europe (Quakers, Puritans for example). The framers were really not too religious. They were deists, but not overly religious. They expressly in speeches and writings did not want a head of state who was also the head of the church like the king in England. Also, some like Ben Franklin, a Quaker, knew what it was like to be a religious outcast from his church's ancestry. The 'In God We Trust' was put on currency in the 1950s during the Cold War, and Red Scare. It was placed on there as a rebuke of the 'godless communists'. In any other time it would have been rejected. Christmas was made a national holiday in a manner where it was non religious. There was some nuance because it could be argued in court the government is giving preference to one religion over others. So, I would suggest the 1st amendment was to make clear the government was not gong to have a state religion and make sure religion is not used in governance. The government, I think, have routinely violated the spirit of the 1st amendment.
  9. Coss, when confronted by an American advocating that rhetoric face to face, surreptitiously glance around for any sharp or blunt instruments that can be used against your person. Invent some emergency to leave. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT under any circumstances attempt to challenge or refute or engage. Back away slowly, smiling, agreeable. Just live to tell the tale. Hug your kids or loved ones. You have seen proof the future is bleak. The new testament in the bible has a name for it. "Legion" for they are many.

  12. I'm predisposed for diabetes. My father has it severely, my mother has it but more manageable. For several years I've been taking things that help with blood sugar beet supplements, dandelion tea. and other things.
  13. McConnell is against it. I do agree to remove the add ons but that is part of the "game" The previous check had add ons as well, 'pork' as we have said. Trump didn't have a problem with the add ons for the 1200 dollar check. Its politics.
  14. Predictions. 1. Biden will not run for re-election possibly and if he does, he won't win. Biden won mainly to get Trump out. He never formulated a plan of how he would govern and what he was going to do. The economy has to get markedly better. Much better to have a chance. He has estranged a lot of black voters with his recent finger wagging talk with civil rights leaders. He can't win Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin without it and he can't be competitive in Ohio and Georgia without it. He's making a big play for the latino vote but they will be split as before and vote for a Republican in similar percentages. Cubans primarily but other latinos won Florida for Trump. 2. Kamala Harris is not viable as a candidate and if she runs she will get crushed. 3. Republicans will re-take the Senate if they lose the two races in Georgia and I'm not sure if they will lose both. Possibly one. But it would not shock me if they won them barely either. It looks good for the Dems so a betting person will say they will win. 4. Republicans may take both the House and Senate in 2022. Dems have no vision or agenda. Republicans are better at the game of politics and are far better gaslighters. 5. There will be a crash by the 2024 election. That happens all bets are off. The election of '24 will depend on 1. who the people blame and 2. how Biden responds. 6. Trump will control the party from the outside. He will control the masses via tweets, interviews mainly and the high paid speeches, ex presidents are paid to do.
  15. Coss, the explanation I have of those Asians supporting Trump is that America is a land of immigrants. Every new immigrant class are not deemed 'American' yet and they try to be as American as possible for acceptability. That acceptability can only come from the majority culture (code speak for white haha...if we want to be completely honest). The Republican partys biggest niche is that so you become accepted faster and easier being a Republican than you are as a Dem. The Faustian bargain is you have to shit on the group you came from. For example Carly Fiorina was the most vocal candidate against abortion. The men never mentioned it. Latino Trump supporters are for the wall and strict immigration laws. Black candidates blame Blacks and not systemic and endemic reasons. I would imagine the same in England if you tell everyone you are Tory and you are a foreigner.

  17. I'll use the term cryptos as an all inclusive term. In theory, they are a great replacement for fiat currency in places like Ethiopia. Why? The Ethiopian Birr is a low worth currency. It is also open to attack and manipulation by outside forces. Is its is more defined. It can't be nearly as easily manipulated. And if its adopted by enough countries, it gives developing countries like Ethiopia a far greater ability to participate in world trade. Fiat currency as we understand are numbers on a computer screen. There is no gold backing them up as was the case 75 years ago. Finally, doesn't matter how much bitcoin is slated on here, its well over 500 billion market and approaching a trillion. The lotion is already out of the bottle.
  18. Cognitive dissonance Description In the field of psychology, cognitive dissonance occurs when a person holds contradictory beliefs, ideas, or values, and is typically experienced as psychological stress when they participate in an action that goes against one or more of them What causes cognitive dissonance? It refers to the mental conflict that occurs when a person's behaviors and beliefs do not align. It may also happen when a person holds two beliefs that contradict one another. Cognitive dissonance causes feelings of unease and tension, and people attempt to relieve this discomfort in different ways
  19. ...but the Dems adding pork to the stimulus is what we should focus on. 20. America is fucked. You have an inept, incompetent, internally corrupt Democratic party and a Republican party that would make Stalin blush.
  21. I have 3 observations. First, 100 percent Dems added pork to the stimulus package. Second, 100 percent GOP added it also. Lastly, 45 has as has his people add BS to plenty of bills. It's what Washington DC does on both sides. Its not good but its not one side only.
  22. this thread started in 2014. If stonesoup even put a modest amount into it at the time and kept them till now, he's laughing himself to death reading these comments. Fact is, its created a large number of millionaires and hedge funds, wall street banks, etc are involved.4 years ago, financial news programs barely mentioned it, now its talked about as much as google and facebook shares. Someone knows something apparently.
  23. Same for the financial markets. Everything is tied to electricity.
