  1. Did the airlines try to argue about the girls at Bus Stop?
  2. Read and heed. Though I can't comment about the LB part, I'll take your word on that and it does sound plausible.
  3. This is an ages old problem faced by most of those who play with the ladies I suspect. I might suggest that you try to elicit from the lady where she herself would choose to go and then go along with whatever she suggests. Of course this could risk the "up to you" response leading to a circular conversation. My guess would be that a "moo kata", possibly inviting a couple of her firmest chums, followed by an hour or two of ka-la-o-kee with a botten or two thrown in for her and her previously referenced firmest chums would see you marked as Mr velly big jai dee and double your hansum quotient in short order. Price would be no more than a meal for two with vino at the sort of place you might more regularly frequent. The suck-cess of any such venture could likely be ascertained by any noted change in her later evening gymnastics. In the case of your friend of the third kind any accompanying pals may likely be similarly inclined which could indeed be quite an interesting evening.
  4. Toyota, Honda, BMW and MB all tend to hold their value better than some other brands. At least for about the first 10 years.
  5. It's all relative. Running costs are way less in Thailand generally, even the fuel is still cheap compared to many places, certainly EU. Looked at over a 5 year or more period the expensive to buy car comes out a bit cheaper. Yes, still expensive compared to most other places but not as expensive as it seems just on the vehicle purchase price.
  6. I recall experiments done in the UK with scratch-n-sniff. You were supposed to rub off the covering on a piece of card at certain points in a TV show then smell the card to be aware of the aroma at that moment. So in a cooking show you could have a sausage smell is they were showing how to cook sausages etc. I think most of the patches actually smelled somewhat like a week old dog turd so it soon fell out of favour not to mention the simple absurdity of the whole thing. Who can forget the feelies and pneumatic females from Aldous Huxley's Brave New World.
  7. Great, Beavis & Butthead in smell-o-vision!!!
  8. "The Bt50-million new studio comes with the most modern technology and equipment" More horseshit! Manually operated cameras on wheeled dollies and fixed tracks are not modern! Remote operated cameras on fully articulated arms are a bit more up to date.
  9. But but but, he said (and the article too) 4-D, not 4DTV. The article even states it as being the " first four-dimension studio in Thailand." Anyway I thought 4DTV was old hat. Not really my thing all this moving picture malarkey, it'll never catch on you know. My mates at the local Luddite society tell me. I'm still not sure anout the soapy's vs soapies thing.
  10. Strikes me you might have the makings of a fair tale. Could be very interesting I'm sure. Write it up ala FieryJack/PanadolSarny style.
  11. You talking about Soaps or Soapies? Two way different things in my book.
  12. Some lateral thought might provide a way to send home those Bangkok beggars claiming they've run out of money. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-31700049 The man who posted himself to Australia By Jason Caffrey BBC World Service In the mid-1960s, Australian athlete Reg Spiers found himself stranded in London with no money to buy a plane ticket home. Desperate to get back to Australia in time for his daughter's birthday, he decided to post himself in a wooden crate. "I just got in the thing and went. What was there to be frightened of? I'm not frightened of the dark so I just sat there. "It's like when I travel now if I go overseas. There's the seat. Sit in it, and go." Reg Spiers makes it sound very straightforward more than half a century later, but it caused a media storm in Australia at the time. He explains his attitude like this: "I've come up with this mad scheme to get back to Australia in a box. Who can say it won't work? Let's give it a shot." Spiers had come to the UK to try to recover from an injury that had interrupted his athletics career. A promising javelin thrower, he had been on course to compete at the Tokyo Olympics in 1964. But when it became clear he would not make the games, Spiers set his mind to raising enough money to fly back to Australia, and took an airport job to earn some cash. But his plans changed when his wallet, containing all his savings, was stolen. With a wife and daughter back home, Spiers wanted to get back to Adelaide, but "there was one catch," he explains. "I didn't have any money." And with his daughter's birthday looming, he was in a hurry. "I worked in the export cargo section, so I knew about cash-on-delivery with freight. I'd seen animals come through all the time and I thought, 'If they can do it I can do it.'" Continued on the BBC site link above
  13. It's hard I mean, when is fat and how is normal? I think I'm fat but all the girls tell me I'm hansum man right One GF says I'm fat, another normal. I don't like em too skinny or too fat, in between there's quite a range.

Then there was Asoke Place just outside Cowboy on Asoke, exit Cowboy and turn right its about 50 metres I think, even more low rent than the PB though. Or just ask your mademoiselle du jour to nominate. I also recall places in Sois off Suk, between 7 and 15, something Inn??? Recall a long since forgotten BG7 must do dragging me to some such, condoms came with the room key.
  16. Hmm, She is a non working mother to two school age children. Her reason to return is that her kids need to go back to school, oh and she hates England, will not live anywhere else but Thailand. Of course they completely ignore the fact that she has been to UK on 4 previous occasions never for more than 2 weeks at a time.
  17. I'm preparing a UK visa submission for my wife to visit UK. The guidance notes indicate that a letter of invitation from a family member is a significant document. In preparing a letter for my mother to sign I'm unsure if I have covered all the necessary points. I have indicated that my mother is a UK national resident at a stated UK address, that her daughter in law will be accompanied by her 2 UK national children and her UK national non resident husband. That all expenses relating to her stay will be born by our immediate family and that at no time would she be a burden on the public purse. Further that she will return to Thailand at the end of our 2 week holiday. Is there anything I'm missing or that should also be included in such a letter? Other than bank statements house papers and marriage certificate I can't think of anything else to include. Any ideas for other things to mention or add? Thanks
  18. Coss, They're all great. Wish they would make more, a sort of thinking mans James Bond.

A few to try. Hotspot shield. The free version connects only with a US based port so streaming other country specific content is not possible. I think the paid version adds more. There is a MAC app. Works good for what it is in getting around blocked web sites. Hola Unblocker. Works with your web browser as a plug in and allows you to see some country specific content in a browser tab or window. VyprVPN. Paid only service but offers multiple encryption technologies. Runs as an app, MAC/Win/Linux, Servers in sooo many countries including Thailand (???). I use this and have been very happy with their service and support. Anybody wanting to try VyprVPN I think I can get a free recommend which would give you a month to try it. Now with the age of smart tv's and other devices I've moved to running the VPN connection inside the router, then all connected devices use the encrypted connection. To do this you need a compatible router. I use a cheap Cisco E900. Re-flash the router firmware with DD-WRT and work through the configuration for VPN. The configurability of DD-WRT turns any compatible router into a very powerful network platform from which to manage your home system. Highly recommended but a steep(ish) learning curve. Took me a few days to get it all working right.
