"I like Thai songs in general.

Could be because the words have a nice sound and/or because I have no clue what most singers are singing about. "

............................................

Sometimes I feel like an idiot listening to music which I have almost no idea what is about.

I like Carabao, listen to them almost daily and have most of their albums. Labanoon, Peter, Palmy, Nui Nuntakarn, Silly fools is music I like. I was rather disappointed in Labanoons last album, the 2 previous ones were so much better.

Cheers!

I like Labanoon first album i have seen video Palmy's house in Bkk and i like every thai music

Hello again nicethaigirl, you win the prize for best avatar, but can you get her to turn around please! OK about thai music, some of the singers I have seen in the last 18 months include:

Siriporn Ampaipong

Yui Yatt Yerr

Monsit Khomsoi x2

Fon Thanasunthorn x3

Cha Cha Cha x2

Jintara Poonlarp x 9

Ying Yong

Sayan Sunyar

Chalermpol Malekham x2

Deang Jitakorn x2

Rung Suriya

Mike Piromporn

Christy Gibson

Nok Noi

The ones I would really like to see are Sunaree Rachesima and Banyen Raggen, but it's difficult to find out when and where concerts will take place. For Jintara fans try and get a copy of last months TV pool magazine as she is on the cover and there are 7 full page pics of her inside. It says that a clothes label called charlie angel does her clothes, mm where have we heard that name before. She was wearing some amazing tops last year and is wearing a sexy one on the mag cover. I have heard a lot of girls say that they don't like jintara as she is stuck up, or that she forgets where she comes from and that she dumped her first boyfriend when she became famous, lots of rumours about her as well. Having seen her quite a lot I would say that she is very shy when not singing and this can give people the wrong impression about her, she is really a very lovely person as far as I have seen. But who cares anyway, when she comes on stage it's electrifying.

I must admit I do not care for thai pop music at all, as with the odd exception it all sounds like the same song. Of the singers I have seen Sayan Sunyar was the most disappointing, I think he has a problem with his voice and cannot knock out the songs like he used to.

Best entertainers I think are Monsit and Ying Yong. If I had to choose who I'd like to be stranded with on a desert island though it would have to be Fon Thanasunthorn, she is a lovely lady. Thanks to Samak for pointing me to this thread, has anyone seen Sunaree or Banyen?-peter

Got is very good, I think he used to sing in a karaoke in Pattaya where he was spotted by someone from grammy, same same Luknok Supaporn. He has done a whole series of CD's singing classic Surapol songs. He appeared a few weeks ago at phra nam khow cafe but I had to come home. :( -peter

I got the VCD of the bird/jintara concert, and the DVD came two days ago, it has some extra things on it which are worth getting. There is a version of ma tamai set in a bang rajan type setting, quite funny and very well done. This is one of the most exciting concerts I have ever seen, must have been incredible to have been in the audience. Is it true Bird is 46 this year? I don't think I could get away with patting Jintara on the head like he does! :o - peter
