OCgringo
I was stuck in London on 9-11, got out on Saturday morning and home Saturday evening late One thing to remember, if the shit hits the fan , you need to take control, the airlines will not rescedule your flights , you have to call and push them.... there were still people in London a week after I got home, they did not get up every morning and check if their flight was going, I did that and if it was canceled made a reservation for the next day, So keep at it if you get bumped..... When / if the war starts most of the planes will be very empty, most Americans will not fly , and the same with the Japanese. this will screw up the travel economy as much as 9-11 did

OCgringo
it matters where your flight gets stuck..... my friend ended up in Canada for 3 days at 9-11 , His Flight left London before anything happened and they were diverted to Canada.... you could end up anywhere on your way to BKK or home
steffi
You're missing the point. The issue is whether the airlines will fly with a plane if there's a drop in passengers. If they decide to cancel the flight because they won't make profits then you'll be sleep in the departure lounge.
