Mentors
digger_1: Hi Mentors, I had a look at your homepage. It's quite strange to see Jintara Poonlap mixed up with Bon Jovi and Iron Maiden ... and Canned Heat. Are they still going !!!! Yes i know its a great mix . But, maybe Jintara would give a great performance together with Vico de la Parra's Canned Heat. :: My idea for my hompeage and especially my monthly magazin send by email is that i want that people who are interested in classical Rock/Metal or Blues music can getting news about such legendary bands cause most of it are still going and touring around the globe with new CD's! On 4. July i will give my 03. Rocksaurier-Party in Zurich near the Airport for all who are interested in famous music.

thai3
This song is the last song on the morlam sa on-7 CD which came out last year, very popular in LOS i'm told, and very beautiful Jintara Poonlarp: "Jintara Taam Kao" (An invocation to her fans) (4:40). After a 30 second khaen intro, she appears, a white ghost in front of a black background, the wind blowing. In contrast to virtually every song Jintara has ever performed, there is no lavish production in this, a simple plea, or lament, accompanied solely by khaen. In several of her songs, she emphasizes her roots in a small Isaan village close to the city of Roi-Et. Here, she presents possibly her most moving piece. This moving song convincingly places Jintara among the greatest world singers of her era: Don?t forget me. When I hear thunder, I wonder if anyone is thinking of me, if any of my friends are missing me. To everyone out there, I want to say hi to everybody, to elders, siblings, aunts, uncles? has everyone forgotten about me? Does anyone remember the girl who was singing with the phin (stringed instrument)? Everybody was saying I was a good singer, where have you all been? Why is everyone leaving me lonely, empty? In the past, those people used to be around me, but now, nobody is within reach. I?m afraid the wild wind has blown the good memory away, and I?m afraid they?re looking to somebody else, leaving me sad, without value. I beg you not to forget me, I want to be like when we first met. I always love my fans around the world. Even though years have gone by, I?m still me. All my heart, mind, soul will always be here for you, for the rest of my life. I?m the girl of the phin, who won?t forget you. No matter what happens, I want you to be with me, always waiting for your support, and your love.

Guest
Hmm, I can't get to the website at the moment. Just getting SQL errors. By the way, I got the 'Jin ma laaw' (Graffiti) VCD and 'Sao Siang Pin' concert last week. The first one is excellent, but the concert is poor. She sounds out of breath. I think she's running around the stage too much. Also, it was a bit bizzare to see her singing a bit of a ballad, whilst all the comdedians are running around the stage kicking each other. She looked a bit confused too ! Are there any other (better) concerts of hers available on VCD ?

thai3
I have 35 CD's etc of her and that is the only concert one, strange. The first time I saw her I was amazed how close she sounded live to the CD's, but not on this new one! One or two VCD's there are glimpses of early filmed concerts so the footage must exist. -peter
