After scanning the far recesses of my memory (what's left of it!), I can tell you that I also experienced very similar discomfort, perhaps even the restless leg syndome, when I was much younger. I never sought medical attention for this. It just went away. I have heard some success stories with quinine treatment ... just a thought & I do hope your situation resolves.
