thai3
Anyone looked at the new Davis hotel on soi 24? I think it was meant to be a massage parlor but things changed and now it's a recently opened hotel. -peter
torrenova
If it is really 5* then it could upset the status quo on priceline (JW, WGS and SGS). Does anyone have any information on this ?
Guest
Just checked it out on the web - www.davisbangkok.net. Combination Thai style boutique hotel and spa about a block off Sukhumvit, next to a plaza with a Starbucks, Thai restaurant and an Italian restaurant. Also near Emporium. Rates starting just below $80 at asiatour24.com. Looks like great option for the area.
samak
it is actually opposite President Park, close to Rama IV and a long walk from Emporium/Sukhumvit. it belongs to Khun Chuwit, the famous Massage parlour King. high prices; they advertise their suites for over 100k per month
buffalo_bill
According to their website they offer " Outdoor pool area with ## separate changing rooms for male and female guests ## " . What a unique concept , although " Male and female guests at the pool area are kindly requested to change clothes simultaneously in the same room " sounds more inviting to me . think_too_mut
>it is actually opposite President Park, close to Rama IV and a long walk from Emporium/Sukhumvit Agree. I would not call it a "walking distance" from Sukhumvit.
think_too_mut
>Looks very nice, small rooms though (42 sqm). Unless you missed to include a gremlin, I would say 42sqm is reasonable large room. Nearly twice the size of standard rooms. It's larger than 8x5m. thai3
I booked the last three nights here so will report on what it's like, seems a good deal at 2.900 and they told me no joiner fee. Lots of rooms are done out differently, kind of like a massage parlor! -peter
