Back on topic..we had fried rice tonight..no onion lots of egg and shallots on top..not mixed into the dish or cooked just for garnish...very good..with crab in cummin.. yum :angel:

As here in Korea, Japanese rice is more glutinous and sticks together. It doesnt really make for nice fried rice at all. Try mixing it with kimchee to really fuck it up as the Koreans do.

PS,

 

Japanese rice is delicious but should not be used for fried rice dishes. For fried rice use Thai or Chinese rice.

 

The Koreans eat Kimchi with everything. About 2 months ago in Seoul I was invited to a Japanese lunch that was really delicious but my Korean host asked for Kimchi as well. Kimchi and Sashimi, what a combination. :doah:
