I knew it was a longshot, TB, but the 3 Thais and 2 Laotians who call this place 'home' would have been doing handstands in the kitchen of their respective restaurants ! There are quite a few Filipinas up here, and plenty of Singaporean and Chinese students, but the Thais have (wisely) given CQ a wide berth. Cant say that they were a very big component of the Brissie population, either, so you must have them all down in the Harbour City :grinyes:

As for Lee's pub, its quite a spectacle to watch them moving the cattle pens out of the way to make room for the audience when the bands come to town. I actually think it smells *better* when the rodeo's on .... maybe Jintara wouldnt have enjoyed the ambience after all :grinyes:

Hi artiew

Yes big Thai populations in Sydney and Melbourne...think due to the Unis :dunno:

In Sydney there can be something like 8000 Thai students at any one time.

We have an area called ThainaTown as well..lots of shops food/video etc.

I think she would love to see QLD..IMO..Gold Coast and a rural area.

Have seen Lee live twice and a great show..last time was at Movie World.
