elef Posted October 24, 2003 Report Posted October 24, 2003 Hi P127, same same http://www.thailandlife.com/map/index.htm elef
elef Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 Hi, this link is posted by LutherA in thread Village maps in GD; http://www.multimap.com/ elef
iuytrede Posted February 8, 2004 Report Posted February 8, 2004 Nice overview maps, but when it comes to details these maps don't have much to do with reality. Best maps for sale at the time being are PNmaps' red coloured series (make sure you get the new edition) of highway maps: North, South, North-East and East (the last one is named "Pattaya"). Resonably detailed and quite accurate. Available at Se-Ed and other Thai-language bookshops (the maps are bilingual) but usually not at Asiabooks or Bookazine. 7/11 at Nana sometimes has them. Thai prices (ie about 90 . Maps to avoid: the Thailand Road Atlasses from Lotus Imaging, unimproved expensive reprints of the 1997 editions which were outdated even then! They look very nice, but the information is about 15 years old. If you like a road atlas, buy PNmaps' Highway atlas for just 190 B. Their maps are much better, though.
Torneyboy Posted February 8, 2004 Report Posted February 8, 2004 Hi have seen these and look good...easy to read as well.
New Petchburi Pete Posted September 27, 2004 Report Posted September 27, 2004 Hello P127, Curious to know if you have any clue as to where I can find a detailed map of East Pattaya - traveling East? ... does the one in City Hall display that area? I saw it once (w/o dig. camera); but, can't recall.
pattaya127 Posted September 30, 2004 Author Report Posted September 30, 2004 sorry, I missed that one, with all the HIV thingo happening in RS. Go to DK on soi Post Office, I bought mine there. Also bookazine, at RGP, but try DK first.
Mentors Posted May 30, 2005 Report Posted May 30, 2005 or here some brandnew ones: http://std.cpc.ku.ac.th/delta/deltacp/features/feature2.htm
The_Munchmaster Posted November 28, 2005 Report Posted November 28, 2005 I remember, quite a few years ago, there was an Americam guy called Al who used to hang out almost every night at Renior (always sat in the same seat) who had a map business on Soi 31. Don't if he's still around?
BKKanalist Posted August 14, 2006 Report Posted August 14, 2006 Al is more or less retired now. Think he is now 70 or so. He has been here since the Vietnam War and will be here for life.
