gawguy
I am working out of an internet shop. I have never had a problem with Thai characters on these computers before. But now Thai characters are not coming out - just code characters. I can't read the reply to my recent post. I'm thinking this is related to changes on our site? They run windows 98, IE 5. khunsanuk
Hi, Problem is on our end. I need to add the encoding to the header, which I have not yet done. Will try to fix it tomorrow. Sanuk!
khunsanuk
Hi, Fixed. You might need to manually switch your characater encoding though. Sanuk!
Guest
Found this was necessary each time I came in. Annoying but not a real problem.
khunsanuk
Hi, Okay, maybe I have the wrong string in the header. I believe it was automatic before, right? Sanuk!
Boo Radley
I seem to remember that <META http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-874"> has to be added to the header. Or some variation of that?
Guest
Yes, it was auto before, not now.
khunsanuk
Hi, "I seem to remember that has to be added to the header." Yeah, that's what I did. Sanuk!
gawguy
Hello, When this is fixed, will the posts that have already been sent be there correctly, or will they have to sent again? Now responses are coming in only in transliteration. I don't understand transliteration alone - I need to verify the words in a Thai dictionary. Thanks, GG
khunsanuk
Hi, "When this is fixed, will the posts that have already been sent be there correctly, or will they have to sent again?" Yes, all those posts should be fine again. Sanuk!
