Guest
"OY! goo ma gon! mueng mei dong tad na!" hehe, I guess it depends on the environment. The rudeness(more like obliviousness) that I encounter are from suits(Thai guys and gals in business attire that have their blinders on). In these instances, "maay mii marayaat" is more than sufficient. They quickly shrink back and even apologize.
ThaiHome
"Okay...I am pretty thick-skinned, but this was a topper!" Don't ever go to China. Compared to the Chinese, the Thai's line up very well. Singapore is not too bad, about the same as Thailand IMHO. TH
Goodthaigirl
When that happens to me, I tell them, 'kor toad na ka, chan maa korn.' (Excuse me, I'm here first.) Then tell the seller/vendor that s/he should take order in a first come first serve basis otherwise I won't be coming here. I think it is the shops' responsibitity to make sure that they treat everyone fairly. But, hey, this is Thailand and many of them don't really care ! :onfire:
