Tat for tat, laptops are cheaper in Belgium, certainly if I can deduct the VAT of 21 % here compared to the what ? 6 or 7 % in LOS. If you know exactly what you want, check http://www.de-laptopper.nl/ or similar and find out if maybe cheaper to have it brought over to you...... Just another idea to confuse you more Cheers ! limbo Posted December 26, 2003 Author Report Share Posted December 26, 2003 Thanks to all who contributed once more. I ended up with a Sony Vaio PCG-FR820S and am very happy with it. Windows XP Home is screwed after just 2 days. Installed my cam camera with the vdo editing program as well, decided the latter was to no use and got rid of it and since then I had a message that I need to install the original Windows CD to restore some glitches. Damn. Other than that, 3 USB ports, combo writer, 256 RAM, 40GB, loads of other stuff. I'll start bugging you guys with questions soon, doncha worry Nice detail was that after running through various stores in Pantip, I bumped into BB and mrs BB, shopping in the same shop as I was, looking for mrs BB's new laptop and they helped out a bit as well.
