Guest
http://www.spies.com/~scott/misc/toilet.htm After following several discussions about Thai toilets, it is probably the time to tell that Germans have toilets as well. A different design though and not everybody seems to love it.
buffalo_bill
Peter, excellent to bring this up ; just another example of superiority in hitec engineering. How can anybody misunderstand this layout : if you swallow let's say 5 baht by accident , how would you ever get them back in America ? Just think about swallowing 20 baht . Guest
What I have heard, nowadays they are more popular amongst the eastern German population. May be, they are more afraid of losing something?
Hamokhamok
Think positive. Handy if you drop your mobile phone in. At least it won't be full of water or worse still piss, except of course you are pissing at the time.
Big Kev
Sister-in-law who lives in Holland has this same toilet design in her flat. Takes a hell of a lot of water pressure to hose down some of my leavings!
Guest
Worse thing that happens is the previous "client" did not flush properly after a meal of launtyeager and crout.
torrenova
The "Starship Enterprise" of toilets exist in the suites of the Part Hyatt in Shinjuku, Tokyo. Made by Toto, they feature the obligatory heated seat, variable positioning, variable power / pulse, temperature controlled jets, plus hot / cold air etc. Despite years of living in Japan and more years of staying in their hotels, I spend a good ten minutes trying out the various functions. Even then, I'm sure many were overlooked. On a tangent. Does anyone know if the "Cotto" toilets in Spain are related to the "Toto" range in Japan ? Guest
LOL, they even come with a portable rear end washer. Some pics (including the Digital touch pad) can be found here: - http://www.theimageworks.com/toilet/toiltftur.htm
buffalo_bill
" Some come with a remote control " , meaning you can first run away and pull the trigger from a safe distance or what ??
limbo
Hi Big Kev, I can 100% confirm the same toilets in Holland.
