wonderlust
The one2call simcard expires after about a month or so of inactivity, after which time you have to buy a new starter pack (with new number). Does anyone know of a Thai simcard (pay as you go) that doesn't expire, or at least not so quickly?
Old Hippie
I have a 1 2 call as well. Basically, the sim card will not expire if you put money into it often. Before I go back to USA, I usually add a card or 2. You get 30 days add on for a 300THB card, 50 for a 500THB card and so on. Add 2 300THB cards, you get 60 days etc... As I understand it, the number and SIM card are void after 6 months on non use unless you have your phone charged up. If you do it before each card expires, you can build it up for a long time. My number is supposed to be good until March of 2005...
ThaiHome
I always like the Malaysian pre-paid system where there are separate cards for extending the expiration date and the minutes. TH
Guest
For the same reason I tend to buy the 800 Bt cards as they give you 100 extra Days! Sunny
Redbaron
This answers the question I was going to ask a while back... My 1toCall sim was due to expire in October 03. Obviously this is not just the credit which dies, but the sim also. Thanks
Guest
A 1500 baht One-2-Call refill card will extend the life of your sim card for 200 days. Buy two and it won't expire for over a year.
