utah2001
AMBIEN. It requires a prescription and isn't available in Thailand. Most physicians will prescribe this for jet lag. It works great and has no "hang over" effect the next morning.

Don't sweat it! it isn't that important really, just a formality, besides, what are you really going to miss in that meeting? Now compare that with the wild stories you'll have tell your new found friends at the unemployment office when you return...
Guest
Old hippie-- Now that's funny... One time (earlier on) they sent me to BKK to meet our newly hired staff.. When I came back to the US and did the briefing I was asked by one of the bosses, "Did you meet a lot of the thais?" I was THINKING "yes I did... Their names were Nit, Noy, Tik & Poo.. They work at Playskool, Thermae, etc. etc. etc." What I SAID was simply... "Yes I did. Very helpful bunch of people." --UPSer
thalenoi
Upser, We had (when I worked for CV - they still have) our office somewhere around Surawong. I used to jump in and have a talk or a lunch with the office manager ( female). That left a trace of me passing by. They had this secretary, Oom, might jump in there next week for non-biz reasons.... Guest
thalenoi-- I just met a guy who is an ops specialist for CV base in HK. His office is in the Concordia Plaza on Science Museum Road. He told me that evidentially Fedex has been offering some lucrative pacakages for selected ops specialists to "jump ship".. Don't know if he will.. I guess FDX wants all of their new-hires to spend at least 6 mos in MEM... bummer.. --UPSer PS: The CV office in BKK is at 295 / 29-31 Surawong Road And at BKK CV in on the 3rd floor of cargo village [ November 11, 2001: Message edited by: UPSer ]
