Guest
I have seen the clinic, so I can claim it exists. As for the father dying, I would say it probably was probably due to complications from the operation and not being properly treated. The father used to drink alchol and alchol is one of the worst things a person can due to bring on a gout attack. He was amputated and I assume he was given pain medicine. The pain medicine should have masked off the pain he had from the gout, but when the pain medication wore off, he probably was in a lot of pain. The toe (big) is one of the common places gout is found, but it can be found in other areas. About 1-2 years ago, the Post claimed a large amount of City police had gout (elevated levels of uric acid). They concluded that the main cause was from dehydration. One of the easier remedies for gout is large amounts of water. As hot as Bangkok can get, I suspect many falangs have gout and do not realize it. tomc12
Elevated levels of uric acid (hyperuricemia)does not equal gout as the majority of people with hyperuricemia will never develop gout.
New Petchburi Pete
Isn't gout an inlammatory process ? ... (usually involving elevated uric acid). but, isn't it possible to develop gout without an elevated uric acid level ?
