friendlyfiend2
Hi, did a quick search to no avail... Wondering if anyone here knows how long it takes (providing everything is in order) for a Thai to get a passport. That is, submit application, pay money etc.. and wait how many days, hours, weeks? I've just decided on a whim to take my girlfriend back with me for my annual 2 week visit, she has no passport. Cheers, any knowledge appreciated. Straycat
I'm not sure, but I seem to remember that it's an unusually quick affair...a week? disclaimer: this is not knowledge; only a bad memory coupled with a wild guess

Nervous_Dog
OK - I have gone and gotten two thai passports, once with the wife, then with the kid. Each time the process was very well organised and simple. You showed up with your house papers, ID (if under 20 she needs mum and dad to say ok It is like a production line, moving from one window to the next, including the photo - which THEY take of you! You can come back and collect in a week, or have couriered to you. Babies showed up in three days! MUCH more organised and quicker than in Australia, I was truly amazed!
