radioman Posted April 29, 2004 Report Share Posted April 29, 2004 Guys, Planning a couple of nights in town and a good friend recomended Bourbon Street. As he said, not special, but good enough. I saw some stuff in a search that suggested it might be a bit mouldy. I did this after booking and getting a very odd sort of response from the girl on the phone, sort of stay here if you like but we don't care. So how is it? Anybody stayed there lately? Far superior IMHO to shit-holes like Nana Hotel or Honey Hotel for the same or less (B900/night including brekky). I have stayed here in the past and would recommend it. Room, have not been updated in years, standing shower with low pressure, the water heater heater full up was still cold. Carpeting old, musty rooms, not so friendly staff and they have trouble answering the phone, as the original poster found out. Noisy, poor AC long walkup to the upper levels.Can take you a long time to check in, or out. Do not know the other hotels metioned, no opinion, of them.
