I also know from anecdotal evidence that INS officers at the POEs have this same concern about single men and women from all over the world who visit frequently and stay for long periods of time. After i, french, married my US wife in 83, there was much talk and paranoia about any suspicion on the part of the INS that would bring me back to square one. everyone not "love" married goes thru that....
