Hi elef,

Scandinavia is a geographical term denoting a particular area of the earth's surface. In all the quotes above, Sweden is considered part of Scandinavia. This means that Finland was also part of Scandinavia until the early 1800's, but a country doesn't move from one place to another, so it must still be part of Scandinavia.
