[color:"red"] Funny thing is, are Thai Boys demonstratve? Often in the village the local head bloke will link arms with and walk down the street, odd site two drunks blokes walking down the street linking arms.

Demonstrative, likely by the same sex which comaradie and friendship.

Being in the West more than half my life, I have a hard time when another female wants to link her arms with mine and held my hand too :o. a lady from my old grade school (10th grade) did that when she saw me at a reunion this Jan., all by myself :(

She meant no harm and it was an honor and she was showing that I was special and she was my friend. It was a long walk from the front desk to my table and I must have tried to move my hand from her a couple times becuase she held on tight!!!! In the same night I had to go to a bathroom, one of my class mates told her grand-daughter to take me, a child of 9, she grabbed my hand and never let go until we got to the bathroom and escorted me back to the table the same way!!!

I know I looked pretty clumsy in Thailand, next trip I expect the boyscouts to help me across the streets!!! :)

and what you consider to be demonstrative.

I took the question to mean all actions/emotions (anger/love/sorrow/longing/etc), not just PDAs (public displays of affection). I just wanted to clarify that in case someone thought my answer was weird!

Cheers,
