bibblies
Yep. Greg Louganis, Olympic gold medallist in diving, HIV+ since 1988 and still going... Would that be a specimen that nature is trying to keep in check? IMO, there are a few people putting their own rather nasty moral overtones into what is simply another disease. People talking of, basically, the natural way of having sex as "excuses, not reasons" and "nature's way of keeping us in check"? ... Puke... whosyourdaddy
With a 6 billion population and an estimated carrying capacity of 12 million, AIDS is a great population control. If you screw around unprotected you may get it. If you use a condom, the couple can not create offspring. Either way it has an effect on population. Nature will always find a way to keep things in balance and this includes the human population. Sure it is a disease, Sure it is depressing, Sure we have compasion, but from a ecological point of view it is a way of checks and balances.
