They see money to be made and go for it. Don't accept any refugees from Eastern Europe except when their home countries are in wars. Accept them from UN plans/refugeee camps, and use a lot of of money to follow them up. Any sign of crime, send them back. Less quotas and better follow up. Also on integration side, don't leave them without phsyciatric help if they need it. Arm police and security. These days they do not carry arms in Norway. Anyone who uses violence in robberies should not come out from jail again. These guys are used to meeting arms, and choose Norway for the lack of it.. Adapt to EU laws when it comes to punishment for smuggling, and also prices for goods which people want to smuggle. Use databases better than today. People with long criminal records should be not be trusted at once on their word during involvement with police, today they check people too late. Thats what made problems for me. check_bin_krap Posted August 26, 2004 Author Report Share Posted August 26, 2004 There was a new bank robbery a few days before the Munch "Skrik" one, the robbers were armed. The police were tipped off. Warning shots were fired and ignored. Not as big as the one where they got money at a Norway bank desposit central. 2 robbers got shot in the leg, not serious. Now there is a discussion going on here if police should have shot These guys are out in 2 yrs time, and might even walk freely around to commit other crimes in 1/2 year before they serve their sentence. With Somalians - I think the problem is that they come from a country in war. Tough conditions, as with people from the ex Jugo countries also. Here, they are like kids in candy store. Other eastern bloc countries are also over represented in crime here. Sure, some Norwegian hard core criminals also. This weekend - 3 Norwegians were caught red handed with weapons trying to rob a bank. One of them was serving a 6 yrs sentence, started serving about 1 yrs ago. Let out on leave ::The crime he served for, was a violent one... There was also a weapon robbery from military, where they got away with a lot of arms. Look at all the immigrants to the USA during and after the second world war, they didn't fall into crime. For Somalies, I think it is cultural, they have a mentality that it is o.k. for someone to just take something, regardless of the scale. They are want to be war lords of sorts...also working for a living sucks! These guys are basically from a country that practices gang warfare over turf on a regular basis, the only jobs are in crime, so when they leave, they continue in the trade, plain and simple.
