Torneyboy
Not sure of the spelling...wife out at work tonight. Small round dessert made from sticky rice powder, sugar. and coconut and a little salt. Cooked in a metal tray/dish with cups about size of a golf balls. Very nice when cooked fresh and hot...not so good as a takeaway..imo. Hard to find here...mainly on the festival days . About the only Thai dessert i eat...except for the Thai fruit. You guys tried this one?
khunsanuk
Hi, Yep, like this quite a bit. Nice as breakfast Do not like it when they put corn in it though (I don't like corn). As for spelling, I'd say it's something like Khanom Krok (I think there is an 'r' in there). Sanuk!
Zaad
Yep, 'r' is there allright (khanom krok) TB, "About the only Thai dessert i eat" Can't believe I'm hearing this, especially since your lady is a cook I'm sure she could present you a few desserts which would make you drool just by the look of it. Apart from that just check out some local markets (next time in Thailand) and take your pick. Some kinds are not for sale in supermarkets or elsewhere since they're home made. Lots of choice and pretty good stuff.

Zaad
Don't let the smell put you off, TB Don't you know some of the best cheese have the worst smell? Judge by taste next time, that's what one's supposed to do with food, ask your lady chef
