CondomKing
If you haven't already decide what to do I would recommend investigating exactly how much of the bill your insurance will cover if you have to operation done in NY. I had both of my knees done, at separate times, in NY by a sports medicine othopedic specialist and insurace covered virtually all of the cost. My co-pay was $5 for each knee. Three months of phsyical therapy was also covered at $5 per session, for two sessions per week. I think it would pay if you had similar coverage. If you'd like to PM I can give you more details. Guest
CK, At the moment I am still dithering about it, but will probably have it done here in NY. Haven't been able to determine the cost even after asking both the surgeon and the insurance company. Policy pays 90% of negotiated cost, after deductible, if done in network.
