A place for a 'quiet' beer?????

Now there is a great idea, a beer bar inside a barber shop........I presume that you meant the beer bar beside the barber shop... Cheap Charlies.

 

Thanks for all the input guys couple of new places I don't know about.

 

Please don't think that I am anti-scene I love this place, it's just that sometimes I would like a really quiet night out.

Well I feel highly honoured ........

 

except that I wasn't really thinking about the youth of the country when I posted.....how loud is ninety decibels anyway.

 

I will check out some of the places suggested but many do not pass the test as they have a TV or music......

 

but 'soft' music is perfectly acceptable like say Starbucks.

I sympathise. Its almost bloody impossible to find somewhere that has no "background noise" (and usually at painfully high levels). There is a nice quiet place in Dusit Thani hotel (think its the martini or champagne lounge), up above the main lounge. A few other hotel lounges have live musicians or pianists, which can be not too bad.
