I dont know much about the Royal familes in europe, although i have read about Princess of Monaco who marries her body guards . I dont think the Royals of say Holland or Sweden have as much media intrusion, also the character of Dutch and Swedish people is different, very calm and introspective.

Privacy laws in those countries are also stricter.

Harry is from a disfunctional family, mother died when he was 12, probably has to book a meeting with his father 3 weeks in advance, doesnt get on that well with his older brother who lives away.

He is left to his own devices and his circle of friends, a weird environment for anybody.

<Sorry STH, even if it's an integrated part of your post it's still against the rules.>

Harry strikes me as having more character than is older sober brother.

I'm not really for or against the royals, but what I am against is the press intrusion into every aspect of their lives which amounts to persecution. They as good as drove Di to the grave don't forget, now it's her sons who will have to put up with every move being poured over for any hint of scandal, and if they cannot find anything they will either exagerate or just fabricate.Sadly too many fools fall for all the outrage and hyped up hysteria. All the papers care about is selling copy, so they are actually very, very pleased he wore the outfit-peter

that is an urban myth.

as i said posted before - a childhood friend of mine was a big time papparazzo duting those days, was on the call list of her PR department. papparazzi, stars, wanna be stars, and "royals" like diana have profitted and benefitted very well from each other.

he didn't need to follow dianna around as he was called up whenever she needed some of those evil ;) papparazzi around.

the whole thing was just a big soap opera. she died because her driver lost control of the speeding car. not because the evil press hunted her.

she was simply a normal tart not worthy of the position and title.

I would say an urban myth that they did not hound her to death. They left the back of the hotel in Paris by the back door to avoid the bastard paparazzi leaches, but of course they followed. The driver was speeding to get away from the chasing vultures. So what if she used the press (very rarely I understand) to her own advantage, why not if they would never leave her alone whatever she did.

Would that all 'tarts' were as beautiful, good hearted and loving-peter

I think its shame that you are so keen to insult members of a royal household, You really are bitter towards the young women it would seem.

I couldnt give a toss about the British Royal family, I dont follow their comings and goings, but can recognise when human beings are being hounded.

You dont know her personally, and taking the word of some so called "pap" is flimsy.

Those guys take photos of dead bodies and whole manner of human grief and try and hawk them..

They are very low people, even lower than people who sell hard drugs, they are in effect little different from people who make and market child porn, we just supply what the people and media want they are prone to crow when condemed.

Quite right prime minister, it's a pity 'compassion' does not extend to those persecuted by the press. Just because people are rich, famous and royal does not mean they are either perfect or without problems. I expect if harry was an ordinary bloke staggering about sukhumvit with a needle in his arm though some would think him more worthy of understanding.-peter
