..
I have built many computers (just not kept up on the latest technology) and my job has me dealing with PCBAs and ICs on a regular basis. Not a worry. And besides, the MoBo was purchased in Taiwan and I am now back in LoS, so it is logistically impossible! Cheers, SD
krml
Add lube first. That's what I was doing wrong. I will have to try it next time I put it in the slot so I don't crack her. Um... I mean it.
gummigut
"You should treat the installation of a new chip the same as you would a virgin." Actually, using too much lube isn't good. Err, on the chip. <<burp>>
..
Not a heck of a lot of choice for CPUs at Fortune. I wanted the mobile, but ended up with a plain ol' Sempron 2200+ because that is where the big price jump happened (2400-up were significantly more). It should be fine for my usage. I ended up spending more on the RAM because I think the bang for the buck is there. I went for 2 512Mb sticks the KingMax Tiny BGP because I read very good things about this memory. Thanks for the help. Cheers, SD
