In Japan for a example, a country known for its racism, ususally the word for mixed kids is/was ha-fu (half), but recently a new term came up: Daburu (double) which IMHO has a positive notion while ha-fu is more derogatory. Nowadays its recommended to limit the number of ultrasounds during a pregnancy to 2 - 3 max unless there is a specific reason requiring more.
