kamui
The funny thing is that Porntip is sued by the police because of her remarks. Wow, this women really has no fear. Every day she is adding a new powerful enemy/organization to her list. Porntip sued over remarks on marksman's suspicious death BHANRAVEE TANSUBHAPOL & MANOP THIP-OSOT BKK Post Bang Khunthian police yesterday filed a complaint against justice deputy permanent secretary Manit Suthaporn and Khunying Porntip Rojanasunan, deputy chief of the Justice Ministry's Central Institute of Forensic Science (CIFS), accusing them of defamation. The complaint relates to comments made by the two officials broadcast on the Thod Rahat (Decoding) television programme on iTV on June 18. The programme covered the death in May of Sunthon Wongdao, a sharpshooter, who was pursued by Bang Khunthian police after allegedly shooting and wounding his father-in-law. Sunthon was found dead in his house in Nonthaburi's Bang Yai district. He had four bullets in one lung and one in his head. Police said it was suicide. Speaking on the television programme, Mr Manit and Khunying Porntip said they suspected foul play rather than suicide. Pol Col Thirasak said his subordinates did not kill Sunthon and the comments cast a bad light on them and Bang Khunthian police station. Khunying Porntip said she would not file a lawsuit against the police because the goals of the CIFS and the police were the same. ''We did not try to make someone wrong. We only wanted to bring justice to the dead using forensic science. They should not jump to the conclusion that this case was a suicide. They should fully abide by the principles of forensic science before making any conclusion,'' she said. She was unmoved by the lawsuit _ which was not the first _ and felt the court would finally throw it out. The results of the CIFS investigation into Sunthon's death would be revealed next week. Mr Manit said he never said that Sunthon's death was murder. The complaint was filed by Pol Col Thirasak Suriwong, superintendent of Bang Khunthian police station, with Bang Khunthian police station and Bang Yai police station. sfinkz
Dunno for sure but I tend to believe the police on this one (that four bullets to the lung and one to the head constituted a suicide). The deceased was a sharpshooter after all.

keekwai
If one were to point a fully automatic weapon at their own chest they may end up with a pattern like this, 4 in a lung (aiming for the heart), last to the head as they are knocked backwards. gummigut
I don't know, you have to have the trigger depressed, not sure one could do that for that length (however brief) of time as your body is getting riddled with holes. I thought this thread was about the thai guy who glued his mouth and nose shut with super glue!!! What a horrendous way to go! <<burp>>
