Nervous_Dog
Good question! I often play DVD's on my laptop, bought some from Fortune on Monday, didn't work, took them back, Turns out they work well in a DVD player, NOT in a laptop unless you have very latest version of PowerDVD or similar which I am now trying to find DOG
dddave
I saw the "Sopranos" set in Pantip, didn't ask the price. Blockbuster had them for rent.
Dude_Le_Rude
apparently I can switch regions on my laptop, but there is a limited number of times that I can do so... I get a screen to that effect when I have tried to play a DVD not purchased in the US or one not marked "no regional coding" or something like that... Old Hippie
Almost all the DVDs I've bought will work in any player...ALMOST! I did go and buy a region free player...just in case! Lusty, Most of the DVDs I bought have an option for Thai subtitles, usully not actual audio...
oldie5
Seen them in Pratunam Plaza and MBK as well as mentioned above and work out at 100 baht/disc. Have bought sets from both of these places and are Region 0. Also for sale on Silom at same price.

Yes, just looking at Season 2 of 'The Shield' and Season 1 of 'The Simpsons' and that is the case with both of them, just subtitles - though the Simpsons does have French audio too!
