Is it just me or does everyones nose get blocked up after an hour in this enviroment?This certainly does,nt happen to me in the UK.

it's most likely the air pollution- for some of us who live in bkk, it's a chronic problem- if you have the same problem while in phuket or samui, then it's something else

I find if I hang in bars to long, the smoke will plug up my sinuses something fierce. I also have some sinus discomfort while flying.

Hey Old Hippie,

My sinusus used to get brutalized by long flights - often progressing to sunus infections. That air is dryer than a desert. I now use a saline nasal spray every hour or so and my sinuses are happy as could be.

Thanks for the tip, I have gotten some relief from saline and herbal spray before! Also if I don't drink, that helps too.

When flying, The Church Lady never drinks alcohol, which, besides being sinful, dehydrates a person. She also keeps a damp wash cloth, puts it over her nose and lower face while sitting, over her eyes as well while sleeping. This keeps most of the air she breathes moisturised.

I had hoped that my skin would be moisturised as well, but at my age, 'face like a prune' seems to be a permanent condition.
