arkutha
Hi all My girlfiend recently enquired about the possibility of establishing coverage for her. Most of the links on the above refer to coverage for Expats only. I would appreciate any details as she has been nagging me for some time now. Many thanks Arkutha

samak
for what do the Thais need a health insurance?? they have Mr. Taksin's great 30 Baht scheme! they can get any treatment for 30 Baht, even a hearttransplantation...probably the heart of a chicken, which was eaten in the hospital's cantine! Nervous_Dog
Trouble with the 30 baht and "Social Security" is they a hospital or site specific. For example my wife has a 30 baht card, but is registered to live in Isaan. She cant take that to bangkok. Social Security is great for thai's, or even farangs. I have it, costs about 1500 baht a month (1/2 1/2 between the business and the employee) Again though you "Nominate" the hospital. Go anywhere else and you pay full price, or go to a government hospital, somne things cheap some not. Health insurance though will cover you most places in Thailand. BUPA has levels suitable for thais. DOG
