Guest
Hi all, What is the best hotel you can recommend in the 2-3000 Baht range around Patong beach? I am looking for something guest friendly, walking distance to night.life-spots but still should have nice pool and nice rooms. Thanks a lot! limbo
drknolle, The review section has some info on Patong hotels, one may exactly fit your wishes. Have a look there, on top of this page, click on review system and it will pop up in a new page, click on hotels - Phuket, look for the Thara Patong. samak
Thara Patong = not guestfriendly anymore! when i did above mentioned review it was still guestfriendly, but in a recent inquiry when i asked for a room, they told me that they had change the policy and charge now 500 THB joiner fee. Guest
Seems like it is not such an obvious choice, but thanks a lot for the info now. I think i will try the salathai then, but the only thing disturbing me is that they want to have a deposit already when you book.
sayjann
don't listen to me. different People like different things but i'm not one for sumptious rooms, breakfast etc. if you like a bit of luxury then go for it,a bed and bathroom suffice for me............. Dali
You might try the Salathai, located right next to the Thara Patong and easy walking distance to all the 'attractions'

samak
have done so! drknolle; surprised that the Salathai is asking for a deposit. is this during peak season (new year)? that's unfortunately practice for many hotels.
