Pescator
That is what my dictionary says. ¤ÇÒ n. a carabao, a water buffalo, etc.etc. Now my question is this: What on earth is a carabao, besides from the thai band? Not even my Oxford Advanced English Learner`s Dictionary could suggest anything.
Guest
isn't it a large deer like a moose migrates around america or something. i once seen a program on tele about a larg deer with a similar name. also remember thai dictionaries aren't all that flash. i've seen some strange stuff including one entry that stated a clitoris was a seed in a fruit (which isn't that far from the truth when you think about it). it didn't say if the fruit is good to eat though. i assume it's aroi..lae glin horm duay dae paeng. jai-dee
water buffalo n. A large buffalo (Bubalus bubalis) of Asia, often domesticated especially as a draft animal and having large spreading horns. Also called carabao, water ox. Guest
The word "carabao" is Tagalog, if I'm not mistaken. Legend has it that Ad Carabao, the leader of said band, picked up the name while studying in the Philippines. Possibly PR bullshit, who knows. Guest
Scum-Baggio you're right. In thailand buffalo means stupid. If someone said "you're a buffalo" it's mean you're stupid . It doesn't mean you're strong like a buffalo

He tried to lure tourists to the place - with the buffs performing all kind of "clever" tasks - but I don't think the scheme worked very well. Guest
If you want to have some fun ( laff ur ass off) get a thai ( preferbly a bg, and you've have had a few drinks) to tell you the thai fable of why the buffalo hates the horse. be sure to ask questions. I've had it told to me many times, and still can't make it all the way through without the same question comming out. (I'm sure you will have the same question, and find it funny trying to ask/explain it to the story teller) just try to be "tactful" after all, budda is involved in it all. Its pretty serous stuff to the girls that know the story, but funny stuff IMHO. snauk yai
