Guest
Old Hippie said:Okapparently, I need a "keygen" all efforts to obtain one, have failed...there is oneon the disk, but it isn't working...I tried to open a link to one a guy sent me, and it tells me windows can't open it, search the net for an application that will, or check my computer from a list...that isn't working...any thoughts? I initially had a prob w/ 'keygen'...when I tried to use it the access key number didn't appear. I later found it was a glitch...and learned that after clicking to obtain the number...it would appear _only_ after I moved the mouse cursor over the space where the number was supposed to appear...and it did appear. NOte, when swiping the mouse over the 'key area' that you need to press the left mouse button as if you are trying to copy some test. Hope this helps. carlton68
Spot on. This happened to me already with other keygens. With this one I could see all characters right away, while OH had the problem you described. We worked it out in the end and 'his friend' got the bloody software to run. Do you have any idea why this happens on one computer while the other has no problem? Video card, driver for the card, OS, directx9??? I'm clueless. Old Hippie
Oh, anotherproblem I er ah my friend had...the 30 day trial version he loaded expired the next day (it had been previously installed and removed). When it was reinstalled, it did not list some of the other Adobe programs which were listed previously. Additionally, I am haveing trouble viewing raw files on it...of course, I really have no clue at all as to how to use it. Going to school this week... Any ideas if update or plug ins are needed? Also, it says "auto updater is not working, check installation..." I am thinking of uninstalling it, and reinstalling it...would a system restore help to Make the 30 day trial work again? Would installing it on F drive rather than c drive make a difference? Thanks...
carlton68
You'd have to restore to a point before you installed it first to make sure all traces are gone. Installing it on a different partition won't help. I suggest you deinstall it again and install it once more, but now using the serial from the keygen so serial, activation code and authorization code match. Wait a day to see if it will keep working. RAW file support and how to make it work is a good question for school next week. Have fun.

carlton68
Well, if you have 550$ for the classes you may as well tell your friend that he has that much for the actual software. If I were you I'd neither pay for software and school, but send it to the thai sick buffalo foundation right away.
Old Hippie
Well, I figure the classes would help learn all sorts of stuff besides Photoshop, namely how to keep my computer running, and un-fuck it as needed...
liquidflux
Any community college will have classes in photoshop. You learn the same shit and it will be a hell of a lot less than $550. Added bonus: with a student ID you can buy academic versions of software, which are identical to retail, for about a quarter of the price.
Old Hippie
The problem is time and schedule...the $550 gets me 3 months of unlimited classes, so if I took a few classes, it would be cheaper than community college, and I can set a more flexible schedule...just thinking about it now...the Photo shop class at a community college is about $250, depending on the place/ materials etc "enrollment fees..." in any event, just seeing how it goes...
