Flashermac
Thetford, huh. Just barely in Norfolk, but still not all that far from the old family homestead. p.s. Are you a collector? http://www.dadsarmy.co.uk/dacards.html
Guest lazyphil
Cant say I am Flash but they look good as you would expect from such a classic Thetford is like Haverhill just over the Cambs border in Suffolk>has a huge London overspill population that relocated after the war, not wanting to sound like a snob but they're both a bit rough around the edges, once were quaint little towns in rolling rural landscapes, well, not now :: where was your family homestead btw
David_66_UK
Bottom.....never got into that and just thought Mayall and Edmondson were just silly, didn't find it funny at all. I never found it funny.....until I started watching the repeats. Absolutely Brilliant. I used to like Men Behaving Badly, until they started bringing the gals into it more, so that it became more "Girls behaving sensibly". Dad's Army - My favourite episode was the one where the vicar does one last peel of the church bells, before they get carted away to be melted down for the war effort..........and therefore signals the German Invasion.
