But as an example: the US treasury uses software to develop a worldwide neural net to track money laundering . It puts everything together and makes sense of what otherwise would seem like a hundred million unrelated transactions. I'm willing to believe that the US Treasury, FBI, etc have the resources and knowhow to do this, but the Thai police? I just find it hard to associate the Thai police force with cutting edge technology. I mean how long ago was it that they automated the traffic lights in Thailand? Then again, if their ranks are full of foreign educated post graduates, then I guess you never know.

Zaad
I love you too Sayjann Flashermac, He (and his buddie) drove around in their poilce pick-up truck. Didn't look like traffic cops, possibly killing time driving around from station to station enjoying the eye-candy or hunting for prey, me in this case. limbo
Yeah, picking on you was definately not for the Eye candy factor.
Coss
Long time ago I lunched with a Colonel in the secret service, he had people everywhere. Could a cop uniform be a good disguise if you wanted to check out Farangs? Or would a Trench Coat, a Martini, and an Aston Martin be more inconspicous? Not that I know anything about anything, you understand... Cheers Coss

lembeh
>I just find it hard to associate the Thai police force with cutting edge technology. That would probably be a mistake. You would be surprised at the "cutting edge technology" lurking in odd places in Thailand. -j-
jack_schist
maybe he liked the cut of your jib. Was he wearing a tight uniform?
Zaad
I've seen tighter ones Did get a weird phonecall today btw. Called back and got a Thai guy, referred to another one and said he'd call back 5 min later. Nothing.. possibly the cop, sounded like him though.. dunno what the fuck he wants. Damen
Seeing how he was in a police vehicle, this probably dosent apply but I recall reading a news story recently about a group of Thai's posing as policemen (in Pattaya?) and robbing falangs. They come to the house with fake search warrant, badges etc.
