wonderlust
Very good for the price. Short connections, well maintained aeroplanes, reasonable food, nice enough cabin crew. Much better than Kuwait and Gulf Air.

..
What's to worry about the connection time? Sounds fine to me and I fly ~120K miles around Asia every year. Nope, never miss a connection. Relax and enjoy your holiday. Cheers, SD

SD my first trip to bangkok was last christmas just after the heathrow fuel depot fire, i flew thai and we had to go via copenhagen to refuel because of the fuel shortage, all the people on board catching connections to phuket etc, who had a short time between flights were anxious as hell, dont know if they got their flights or what happened but its a worry. my trip will be this christmas and i worry about missing the connection and then finding all flights are fully booked. preahko
I have to say...and I know this is irrational.."Air Etihad" sounds way too close to "Jihad" for me to be comfortable with them...though I guess one is always safer with whatever airline the rich arabs ffly themselves...haha... Evil Penievel, help me out here!!! preahko
simie
Its actually Etihad Airways, rather than "Air Etihad". And I believe it means United in Arabic? Not sure about their Heathrow flights but their Gatwick flights now use brand new Boeing 777ER. Simie.
Pom Michael
Yes, nice new planes on the route BKK-AUH-FRA, even with internet connection. Too bad I was sick as a dog and could not eat or drink anything except water.
