Nervous_Dog
TC - have a look at some posts I made a while back about women in Thai politics and business who I deal with almost daily. They are no shrinking violets, and men treat them quite equally, someone else mentioned it too here. Women I think in Thailand are a lot more equal than elsewhere. One reason is that men aren;t scared of them, or of acting "manly" around them DOG
AF16
I have no problems with farang women in general and I find that Thai women coming here will enjoy the equality that they western sisters have. However when at home or with friends they still need to be seen 'taking care of thier man', but on their own and in an enviorment where they are allowed to express their oppinion, they like having equal oppertuneties. I actually felt uncomfortable in family context whith the first Thai girl I came home with. To sit and being served while the women waited were not something I liked nor wanted, but she insisted that it was that way when we were with her mother and stepfather. When we were alone it was a diffrent matter.
