The government ws on schedule to have a site built which would hold up for the life of the waste. Construction was halted because no one calculated what it would take for the site to remain intact in the event of an earthquake. It will still be several years before the site is finished. For people living in the area, they just have to ask one question: "Do you feel lucky?" By the way, I would rate Pat Roberson (not to be confused with my Senator, Pat Roberts) way above Oral Roberts, who, in the mid-eighties, said he would wait in the tower at his university for God to call him if his financial goal of raising millions of dollars (I don't remember the exact amount) was not met.
