Visa to Europe for a BG

Greetings

I would like to have some info about a visa to Europe

(more specifically for Belgium)

for a BG.

I know which documents are required for the application but:

- Is it better to tell the truth (on the form there is an actual job related section)

- If there is an interview, she worked in an hotel, is it better to try not to tell about her actual job?

- General delay for the answer?

In fact I just want to invite her to Europe and make a little european trip so she will know that it is not wonderland and so I could explain how things work here.

Thx a lot for all your answers

Getting a tourist visa for a BG to Schengen is not so easy.

1. Don't use an address in Pattaya or anything to do with Pattaya not even working in hotels.

2. If she is in housepapers in Isaan and the parents have a farm write farm worker else they want to see papers from the employer.

3. Give some reason why she must return to Thailand and will not overstay in Europe.

For more specific questions about Belgium why not contact BB?

BB is right here......

drogon,

A 1-month visa, a 3-month visa ?

Are you willing to cover all costs and sign for it all ?

Have you checked the embassy website and have you contacted the visa dept yet ?

Tell her to dress properly, and there is no interview as such, just a few questions asked over the counter if they feel like it.

Make sure all of your paperwork is in order, then they have no reason to refuse the visa.

PM me for more questions if needed.

Thx a lot BB.

I already read the website and downloaded the visa application form.

It owuld be for a short stay (less than 90 days)

with 1 entry.

I will provide an invitation letter and a b3bis form

(telling that I will cover the expenses)

though she will pay her ticket etc....

but the fact is that her actual job and pay forms do not show enough income.

About the visa aplication form, I am wondering how we could fill the actual job section, like:

job : hostess.......(hum hum)

Employer: bar in sukhumvit soi 33....

Thx for your answers

drogon,

- Why download the application, and she has to fill it in ?

- no worries about her salary and her position, let her fill in "no work - no income" as long as your salary is sufficient ( add at least the last 3 salary slips plus last tax return )

- proof of relation : copy of your passport, copy of pics together, etc.....

I downloaded the application so I could have an idea about it.

I imagine the application exists in thai?

Yep salary slips etc... I know about.

About the invitation letter:

Does it need to be special, I mean, explaining how we met etc....?

thx for your answer

Hi,

No idea if it applies here. Your friend might be required to show a health insurance that will cover her stay in belgium.

If not for the visa it might be in your best interest.

It was back in 2000 when I invited an indonesian to germany. Needed an invitation letter from me, plus a copy of my ID. And a health insurance for her, covering her time here.

drogon,

Why would the application be in Thai ? its the Belgian embassy !!!!!!!!!!!!

Your invitation letter needs to specify her full name, passport details, BD, etc.... and the reason you invite her to Belgium.

Mention you are in a relation and want her to see your country.

Keep it short and to the point, and not in English.....

And as Carlton pointed out, health insurance is now compulsary as well, but all travel agents sell this.

Its a few 100 Bt for 3 months.....
