Palad_khik
Here's a handy map of the Klong Saen Seap at Asoke Rr. Clicking on either the left or right arrows will allow you to identify the pier names along the route.
The_Munchmaster
I don't fancy travelling on the klongs in the city but I would like to take one of the small river taxis and investigate some of the offshoots of the Chao Praya. I did this on my first ever visit (18 years ago) and would like to try it again but don't know how to explain that I don't just want to go from A to B. Guest
Go to Saphan Taksin. Walk to the river, near the ferry. A sales rep for the boats will find you, show you a klong map and offer a variety of klong tours.

zob65
Does this mean you are getting early one day in LOS , or you know a good bar down one of these klongs?
The_Munchmaster
Yeah, planning to do a few cultural things this visit. But don't worry, I'll get them done in the first week, before you arrive.
texascity
me too the worst part of the klong bus is the ticket purchase .. i give up a 20 & take whatever i get back with a smile. lub jumping on & off .. wonderful stories of piles of cell phones at the base of each dock .. I've seen kids swim in san saep the large klong buses end at the world trade center stop .. smaller / lower boast go all the way to grand palace area .. bridges are lower .. on the chao praya side you can hire a privite river boat to take you to Taksin bridge ..or thon buri .. or where ever. the cold heinkins purchased from the boat vendor ladies (floating 7-11s) on the canals of thon buri seen to taste better than the average heinkin .
