Taking a girl back to your apartment. Bad idea. Not only because of what could get stolen, but because you will lose a lot of respect from your neighbours and the staff there. Depends on how much of a regular she is I suppose, but not recommended.

 

Forcing the security guard to give the money back. Very bad idea. You made him lose face in front of a prostitute. He will not forget that, and I hope you never need to call on him for his help in the future. He will also take every opportunity to bad mouth you to all and sundry about your nocturnal habits.

 

However if it was a hotel, then I would certainly have no qualms in doing what you did. If it was my condo, then I would speak with the girl about it next time I saw her, reimburse her and walk all future girls out. No opportunity for a shakedown and, more importantly, no loss of face for anyone.

Regular hotels. Siam City Hotel was one, and saw it happen in the wee hours before in a couple Pattaya hotels, and was told by a few lasses this was happening in a lot of places by security where they had to leave ID at the desk. That shit doesn't play in my book, so whenever I was at a place where the girl had to leave ID, I made sure she got it back in the morning without any hassles or shakedown from these little pricks. She earned her cash, they have no right to try to extort the girl for her ID. And, it's for your own protection she has to leave the ID. Only right you take care of the lady and be a gentleman and escort her out. These ladies put up with enough shit in life from the sharks wanting to feed on them. I used to escort them out to the street and see them off in a taxi or motocyke. The taxi mafia used to give me the thumb up of approval when they saw my nightly choices of companionship. :smirk: No walk of shame for me. If she was good enough to bed, she's good enough to walk proudly out the door past reception with.

Well said and good advice. I myself would never bring a P4P lady back to my residence. Seems to be asking for trouble really. Thais talk and gossip, why give them any more ammo than they already are likely fabricating anyway. :smirk: Plus, if you have a wife or GF that is the surest way to have her find out what you've done that I can imagine.

Yep, I remember the thread not that long ago. I agree with you. Seems to be a way to cause oneself many headaches. The possibilities are there for too much BS and hassle.

I might agree in general with the "thrust" of the don't bring girls back to your flat deal. However, in the case of a decent apartment building with paid security staff those bastards shouldn't be fleecing anyone who comes to visit you - hooker or not!!!

 

I would've got the girl her satang back, as well if this were to happen. However, the blokes at my building are pretty laid back and usually don't even hassle my guests with the ID procedure. I do know that certain farangs ALWAYS have to turn in ID's when friends come in.

 

There are alot of guys bringing BG's to the building given it is a Western style place, and I'm not one of them so maybe that's why I don't have the problem??! Dunno. To be fair though I do shag my share of Thai girls I meet out that are not proper BG's at my flat though.

 

I'm sure security can tell the difference that these girls are not Buriram specials lord knows I can! Maybe that prevents the hassles?

All of this makes having a second place a good idea. You don't have to worry about what your neighbors think. You don't keep anything worth stealing there. And you leave when the girl leaves.

 

I never take BGs back to where I live anymore. Unfortunately, however, a few BGs have spied me near near where I live: "I saw you walking by the 7/11 near...Do you live in the abc or the xyz building?" Their always real curious, and I always dissemble when I respond to these sorts of questions.

I live in an apartment(same place for 4 years now) and I was talking about apartment/condo buildings although I suspect some of the seedier hotels might have the same problem.

 

I said "regular", I don't take new girls back to my place of residence. Even if I did I don't think it would be a problem as I am single and I know most of the tricks and don't have anything worth stealing!!!

 

...as for the people dissing me for paying "too much", I consider 2000 baht fair recompense for 4 hours of her company in my room and the time at the bar she spent with me. I honestly don't give a sh1t if you think otherwise so why bother posting?
