It doesn't matter to a thai whether you are a falang from this country or that country or if are a nice guy or a criminal... The thai culture is similar in attitude and judgements to what the american culture was in the 50's and 60's ......"a table for two color people or two japs". Are they stereo-typing and institutionalizing it? Check out jobs for native english speaker. With that comes the expectation that one fits a certain look to them. An indian presents themselves as a native english speaker, do you think they will gave him/her a fair shake? There is no doubt in my seven years here, thais do have a collective mentality and attitude very different than us individualized westerners.
