Flashermac
It wasn't a "military group" that razed Soi 10. It was some flunkies that included a low ranking officer or two and some enlisted men who had been hired by Chuwit ... who now just sort of happens to be a "respectable politician" (if those words aren't contradictory). But I'd say the current powers are taking indeed their time because quite a few of their leading supporters might be embarrassed if all of their doings were exposed. shygye
A low ranking officer would not have the "pull" to tell the police to stay out of it.
Flashermac
No, but Chuwit did. He reportedly has videos secretly taken of high ranking police in action in his massage parlours!
YimSiam
For those few cops whose wives, 2nd wives, and girlfriends don't know they go to the massage parlours, or who have had embarrassing performance issues at the MPs, the video might be a threat -- for the rest, there's Chuwit's account book, with records of his payments to the BIB over the years... Flashermac
He made billions off of massage parlours -- which are almost by definition illegal.
Mentors
THE NATION today Former PM's wife, Khunying Pochaman Shinawatra meets Privy Councillor Chairman Gen Prem Tinsulanond at his residence reportedly to discuss on possibility of Thaksin's return. Pochaman, wife of former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, arrived at Prem's residence at about 10.50am with her elder brother, Banyot Shinawatra. Prem's secretary, Gen Ud Buengon, received Pochaman who was in yellow silk dress, at the front door. Pochaman and Banpot left Prem's residence at about 11.05am. They refused to talk to reporters. Thaksin was in New York when the military seized power on September 19. He then travelled to and stayed London where he has a residence. The coup team said Thaksin could return to Bangkok possibly after the martial law is lifted. It was not the right timing for Thaksin to return to Bangkok at the moment, they said. Flashermac
Maybe an oops? According to the Whackypedia, his wife is "Potjaman Damapong, the daughter of a police general". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thaksin_Shinawatra p.s. I notice that someone has removed all of the information and links about his wife and children. Wonder who and why.
