elef
# 1. Oriental (best hotel in the world some year) # 2. Peninsula # 3. Shangri-La For me The Oriental is the best but you can try a more expensive room in Peninsula or Shangri-La. Kings and presidents usually stay in the most expensive suite in the Oriental, but the price is extremely high - 400,000 baht/night??? maybe BuBi knows? Guest
Thanks for the suggestions, apart from the nana one, i'll suggest the oriental...
elef
The first 2 I suggested are surely over 5 stars, maybe Shangri-La is 6 stars, Peninsula 8 stars and Oriental 10 stars. (I know that some prefer Peninsula so that's MY opinion.)
YimSiam
For a first time visitor, Oriental is a bit more steeped in history, etc - while Peninsula is superb, it's high rise style and location aren't as traditional as the Oriental, recommend Oriental. The real question is whether you'll be recommending PB or Penthouse - each does have its charms... (Sorry, don't mean to drag your mother down to my gutter level, I'm sure she's a very nice woman!)
