airline seat selection

agree with you BuBi!

however on certain routes (for example to Hongkong or Seoul) they use same aircraft type but with different seats and interior and it is pretty much a lottery what you get!

Perfect example if HKG to BKK. You would think this is a well traveled route and would be outfitted with the latest seats but some of the aircraft on this route should be relegated to regional travel in Kazitstan. :(

TG first and business class are crap. Especially when compared to SQ/CX etc. That was the only decent thing Thaksin ever said: "Thai Sucks".

SQ/CX is very good' date=' TG is the best.[/quote']

You would definitely be in the minority with this opinion as SQ set the standard for international 1st and Biz class travel. While TG has closed the gap with the new seats in the Airbus planes they are flying, they will lag behind until the rest of their fleet is retrofitted.

Also, it has been my experience that SQ trots out the most consistent FA's in terms of service and good looks.

SQ is the only star alliance carrier, where as a frequent flyer you can not get a seat reservation in economy class. you have to go through internet check in, which opens just 48hours before the flight and usually most of the better seats are gone and it takes you around 10 minutes to do a seat change. this sucks!
